About This Program

In telling stories, we can explore the furthest reaches of experience – whether it’s our own, or someone else’s. And in this way, stories also carry the power to shape the world.

A creative writing education at Full Sail will teach you how to wield this power in a way that is at once meaningful and savvy. You’ll learn how to tell a tale across different media platforms, incorporating visual elements and exploring a variety of genres. You’ll examine different modes of publication and distribution, and you’ll hone your craft through ongoing portfolio courses and peer-to-peer workshops.

COURSE HIGHLIGHTS

Literary Techniques & Story Development - Study authorial choices and literary techniques that bring meaning and direction to stories.

Publishing & Distribution - Students learn how to publish and distribute their screenplays, television shows, comic books, videogame scripts, and novels while demonstrating their understanding of the evolution of the entertainment industry.
